Is there a way to enable the MySQL and proxy portions of freeradius in StarOS.

Currently I run a MySQL replication group for usernames, passwords, and Radius attributes. I perfer to have one system that updates everything, but I haven't been able to integrate any of this with StarOS and I would really like to.

Even if just the proxy settings were available to us (StarOS users), we could easily pass requests onto our main servers and not worry about updating user lists on the StarOS flash roms.

I have 6 StarOS machines and multiple Radius servers for my various dial-up user bases and updating each one could get messy.

TIA

Why not just use one of your existing radius servers? Point the system to use ANY radius ANYWHERE. The whole idea is to avoid duplication and update problems as you are concerned with. Rather than fool with replicating databases just use your main server.

Yeah... I could do that, but the MPPE key feature of FreeRADIUS is causing problems with my dialup users.

Best idea I could come up with.

The other thought was integrating billing systems with StarOS forWISPs that don't have or don't want to setup external RADIUS servers.

The SQL replication is for redundancy we lost several servers to attacks this month (No not the worm attacks) and had it not been for real-time replication it would have taken days to service the problem. This really is almost neither here nor there. I am having trouble concentrating today. Please forgive me if I start to run off on a tangent.
