What exactly is StarBOOST? How does it actually improve the throughput?
It was a unique packet aggregation and compression technique used in our drivers for point-to-point links.
This feature has since been phased out as new, more compatible point to point techniques were introduced, such as WDS.

Do you mean WDS (that is also being used in some other access points) also have this packet aggregation and compression features?
No, that feature has been removed.

Yes, we are planning on this, plus some other features such as per-WDS channel AES encryption, etc. Of course the link would then become proprietary to StarOS systems, but it will increase performance, and security.
This is planned for a 'future' release. No time frames as of yet.
