When I launch PUTTY under Star Util i get a screen with itty bitty characters.
My mouse does not work and neither does the alt X functions.
What am I doing wrong?
My stand alone Putty works like a charm.

This one I don't have an answer for. Is anyone else seeing this? I'll have to look into Putty's options. Maybe there is a default shell type that was changed?

I tried changing settings under Putty and couldn't get it to do what you are talking about. The only thing I can think to try would be manually deleting all of the registry entries for Putty. Search for SimonTatham to find them. Downside is you will lose your saved sessions.
Is the shortcut you have to putty pointing to the same copy of putty you entered in UtiliStar? I thought you mentioned you had multiple copies before. Not sure if it matters, but it might be something...

The multi copy problem was on my laptop.
I will do a "stare and compare" on my home machine and the desktop at the office.
Thanks for the reply.

Ever resolve this problem?

Yep,
I have to go into the putty prefs. and change the fonts for every new entry.
Must be something freaky with default settings.
I'll keep playing with it.

Have you come up with a way to download a version list yet.

I've been thinking about adding a way to download all of the reports (791-795). If I get that implemented, it will be easy to grab the version info.
