Has anyone thought about using HPNA PCI cards???
Namely the Netgear PA301 or 3Com 3C410.

I'm not familiar with these cards. What chipsets do they use?

its the ethernet over phone cards, check www.homepna.org for more info. I'm not sure about the exact chipset numbers, but the 2 that I have worked with use either an AMD(1mbps) chipset or a Broadline(10mbps) chipset. There is also an 1mbps AMD chipset version with also a 10baseT eternet adapter built in.

We would be happy to take a look at their support if somebody is willing to donate a set of cards for us to play with. :)

That could be a possibility. Will have to get the Ok from Lonnie beforehand. (everybody is at Comdex for the next week or so). If they have good drivers, there should be no problems I can think of, with implementing them if we have some cards on-hand for testing.

Thanks!
